Lucinda had a stroke.
Overnight, from working full-time and earning enough to support herself and her two children, she lost her mobility, memory and capacity to work. Her income plummeted from £3,000 to £800 a month and she quickly built-up debts.
Thankfully, Lucinda was able to turn to Citizens Advice Stockton – funded by The Access to Justice Foundation.
A qualified adviser helped her to access the benefits she and her family are entitled to and she received legal debt advice. With her income nearer £2,000 a month Lucinda is now able to focus on rehabilitation.
