Working together to end homelessness
Emmaus supports formerly homeless people by giving them a home, meaningful work in a social enterprise and an opportunity to get themselves back on their feet again. For many people who experience homelessness, one of the biggest obstacles they must overcome is a loss of self-esteem. Emmaus provides an opportunity to regain this, with a chance to make a real contribution to their community.

What we do
Emmaus supports more than 850 formerly homeless people across 29 locations throughout the UK. Living in an Emmaus community includes engaging in meaningful work in a social enterprise, access to training and qualifications, and tailored one-to-one support. Often this is an opportunity to overcome issues such as addiction, get support with mental health issues or rebuild relationships with estranged family.

A home for a long as it’s needed
Emmaus communities are not hostels; they provide a home for as long as someone needs it. For many, this support and stability is like the family they don’t have, providing a safe environment in which to settle, re-build their lives and ultimately move on from homelessness.

By leaving a gift to Emmaus in your Will, you can help us be there for hundreds of people who have experienced homelessness, providing them with a safe home and work. Thank You.
