A gift in your Will can help people escape abuse and rebuild their lives
For many people experiencing domestic abuse, fear for a beloved pet is a major barrier to leaving. Refuges are usually unable to accept animals, and perpetrators may threaten and abuse pets to coerce and control, forcing survivors to choose between their own safety and the animal they love.
“He threatened that if I ever tried to leave, he would kill my dog”
Refuge4Pets removes a barrier to safety
We provide specialist animal fostering for individuals and families escaping domestic abuse, so they can leave knowing their pets are safe, loved and cared for by trained foster carers. When survivors are settled in a new home, we reunite them with their animals so they can rebuild their lives together, free from abuse.
We are helping to drive social change
Refuge4Pets also contributes to national research, policy development and education on the link between domestic abuse and animal abuse. With your support, we can raise awareness, influence change and help protect more people and animals from abuse in the home.
By remembering Refuge4Pets in your Will, you can leave a lasting legacy that helps survivors reach safety, keeps families together and changes society for the better.
