Forensic handwriting, signature and document examination undertaken by an expert witness with more than 15 years’ experience of criminal and civil casework.
I am based in the West Midlands but will accept work from all areas of the UK and further afield.

My service includes the examination of:
- Disputed signatures/documents to determine authenticity
- Disputed handwriting determine authorship
- Documents for the presence of indented impressions of writing using Electrostatic Detection
- Apparatus (ESDA/Docustat)
- Printed, photocopied and typewritten documents to determine whether or not they can be linked together or to a specific machine
Other areas of expertise include:
- Reconstruction of torn or shredded documents
- Transcription of documents
Instructions are accepted from solicitors, companies and other organisations. Instructions funded by Legal Aid may also be accepted.
I have examined in excess of 1000 cases from private and corporate instructions, civil and criminal matters as instructed by legal advisors, including cases where I have acted as a ‘single joint expert’, government departments and direct instruction from various UK Police forces. I have given expert evidence at court on many occasions, attending both magistrates and crown courts all over the UK; I have also given evidence at employment tribunals and civil hearings.
