Another private equity-backed group has started to build its network of firms and says the acquisition is the first of many.

London-based Queen’s Park Equity already owns the UK-wide firm Canford Law and has now bolted on the three entities of PDC Group.

PDC comprises Property Debt Collection, PDC Law and PDC Conveyancing, which enables it to operate across the full lifecycle of debt recovery, from initial collection through to legal enforcement, on behalf of landlord and residential property manager clients recovering unpaid service charge and ground rent. The business is based in Hertfordshire.

Under the terms of the acquisition, managing director Reece Wheeldon will remain in place and retain a ‘significant’ equity stake, ensuring continuity as PDC continues to operate under its own brand. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Queen’s Park announced earlier this year that it had acquired litigation specialist Canford Law, which operates in England and Scotland. The company will operate in future under the banner of Canford Group and intends to continue growth through further acquisitions.

David Nash, group chief executive, said: ‘PDC will join Canford Law and Canford Law Scotland as our third vertical and represents the first of several acquisitions planned as we expand across the sector.

‘We identified clear opportunities for collaboration and value creation through the diligence process, and I’m excited to work with Reece and his team to realise those opportunities and build on the strong foundations across both businesses.’

Queen’s Park describes itself as having a strong track record of investing in founder-led and management-owned businesses across a range of sectors, supporting management teams to scale sustainably while preserving the qualities that have driven their success to date.

As part of the acquisition, former PDC director Giuseppe Tona has relinquished control of the business and his appointment ended. As of June 2025, the company employed 40 people and had net assets of £7.3m, including cash reserves of £2.85m.
