The Law Society will be marching at Pride festivals in London on 8 July and Cardiff on 26 August to highlight the progress that has been achieved for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in the legal world. The Society took part in a Pride march for the first time in Birmingham last month.

Newly inaugurated president Joe Egan and vice president Christina Blacklaws will be among those from Chancery Lane marching under the banner ‘all are equal under the law’ in London and Cardiff.

This summer marks the 50th anniversary of the Sexual Offences Act, which decriminalised homosexual acts in England and Wales.

Those wanting to march with the Society should register through its events page. Places on each parade are limited. For more information email LGBT@lawsociety.org.uk.
