The US firms are on the march once again in the City.
Ray Werbicki, head of international arbitration at Masons, has joined US firm Steptoe & Johnson.
Ed Lukins, previously head of private equity at Simmons & Simmons, has moved to the London office of US firm Morrison & Foerster.
Six new partners promoted at US/UK firm Mayer Brown Rowe & Maw in the City: Bruce Bloomingdale (finance), James Dodsworth (real estate), Louise Hobbs (employment), Tim Nosworthy (corporate), Michael Wallin (corporate) and Stephen Woodward (litigation and dispute resolution).
Property finance partner William Greig joins Field Fisher Waterhouse from Birmingham and London firm Wragge & Co. Martin Smith moves to the firm’s public and regulatory law group as a partner from Clifford Chance, where he was a senior associate and worked on the Hutton Inquiry.

Residential property specialist Claire Belringer has been promoted to partner at Cheltenham firm Rickerbys. Her appointment brings the number of partners to 19.
