Digitisation does not have its limits. We need to recognise this and invest properly in socio-technical systems with appropriate levels of security, resilience and contingency. Pretending or hoping that’s its all going to go away, slow down, or meet some ‘natural’ limit (one that coincidentally does not unduly disrupt the settled pace of life as a regional, high street or legal aid practitioner) is simply absurd.
