"If the expected 5% of beneficiaries, ie 2.5 million people, come forward, each would receive £45. " So, if all the people who are, apparently, legally entitled to their share of the £100M (46.2 million people according to the Judgment) come, each would receive £2. This claim was pleaded at £14bn and settled for 1.5% of that. How on earth can a settlement where you recover 1.5% of what you ask for be considered a "win"? Can anyone please explain how this is anything other than a waste of court time and an abuse of process?
