I agree that those drafting these rules have not had sufficient experience of what actually happens in the profession. Much like the Accounts Rules. . Paragraph 8 of the Solicitors Code already covers complaints adequately. Solicitors do not need to keep resending information the client already has. No doubt it will be sent with the archive notice and go straight in the bin. This is a tick box exercise to appease the likes of the government and probably Daily Mail readers. Can someone please get the profession together to properly challenge these ideas.
