Costs of some £113,500 (inc VAT and disbs) charged against an estimate of £43,500 (perhaps + VAT and disbs). LeO eventually ordered repayment of £51,200, after a review of an initial award of nil.
JR failed on four grounds but succeeded on one, resulting in reduction of £51,200 award to £35,500.
Costs of doing this of £47,590 incurred but costs order was for just 40%, £19,036 due to duff procedural matters, so the firm ended up spending about £28k getting the compensation reduced by £15,700.
