You do a good job for your hourly rate, which the client is aware of and always someone will moan, moan, moan.

You agree a fixed fee, do the job and someone will always moan, moan, moan.

I would never do anything remotely contentious as a fixed fee.

I understand that conveyancing is a 'shop around' game but really, do you want to be pestered 20 times a day, as another has said, often by greedy agents who are getting 10x or 20x what you are charging ?

It's about time these regulators bought a new record.

Or at least showed us their time sheets.
