Why are lawyers different from other businesses? I bet everybody here wants a quote from their plumber. electrician etc.

You will have the experience to know how many hours most of your cases take, so what's wrong with fixed fees? If you went out for a meal, would you pay an hourly rate?

As I say just about all other businesses work this way, so stop bleating, nobody is forcing you to anyway.
