Fabulous, so if staff want higher raises because they see larger profits we will have to spend an age explaining to them how a business actually works and that "profit" on paper does not mean oodles of cash sloshing around at the Bank. As for whether we are making money on WIP - well as a legal aid practice - the answer is "no we are not" - although of course we are paying tax on it before it is even billed and before the fees have come in from the WIP. Ahhh "Great" Britain!
