You can put whatever you want into a contract but if a court decides that once a solicitor takes any step in an action they are responsible for everything, and negligent if a step is to be taken by a client but is not, then no contract will be of help to solicitors whatever it says.

Better to let barristers take on unbundled work. Their friends on the bench, nearly all of whom are ex-barristers, may be more friendly to them.
