The post office scandal was horrendous to the victims and their families. It's exposed the power of big institutions ,government departments and major law firms acting for the government and the post office. How on earth did the government ever allow a private institution to prosecute its own alleged criminal cases.The Cps should have been involved and hopefully they would have looked at the evidence with more independence and reasonableness. The post office and their lawyers were brutal and too subjective in their pursued of innocent people and should now be held accountable. The government should allow the victims and pay for them to get legal advice to consider the compensation scheme and also to bring further claims if necessary. Many life's have been ruined and compensation on its own may not be sufficient.
