I really don’t know why LSG, or anybody else, even bothers responding to these consultations. It’s completely pointless. And has been the same for years.
As long as solicitors keep accepting legal aid cases at the current rates, as they continue to do, nothing will change.
LSG would be better employed advising solicitors to stop doing legal aid work unless and until economic rates are paid.
