In such cases, the account of the Complainant is the account which the CPS will have to adopt. It will form the factual underpinning of the entire prosecution. Whether the person who will have to give that account is credible is central to the viability of the prosecution. The phrase suspect-centric is odd. The suspect does not have to prove that they are innocent. Leaving aside the serious issues with presuming guilt, the model the CPS is being asked to deal with simply seems impractical.
