"'Genuinely confidential’ material will be redacted through a judge’s ‘file modification order’, which she said would be agreed in a ‘relatively informal process’".

First, the authorities establish very clearly that the mere fact that something is said to be "confidential" is not a reason for redacting it.

Second, the idea that this "file modification process" will be simple and quick is naive in the extreme. Parties will fight tooth and nail to get material redacted if they don't want it disclosed to non-parties.

Third, "the file modification process" will affect the open justice/Article 10 rights of non-parties, without giving them the chance to make representations.
