We regularly pay court fees on behalf of clients of £10,000 in my firm. For that we get months of delay before the case is finally transferred to the Claimant's home court, then several more weeks, if not months waiting for the case to be listed for costs and case management, with a variety of variations of local practice, which because they're not in the CPR we have to try and guess what they mean (multi-track fortnight?). Then invariably the trial is stood down on less than 24 hours notice due to "judicial unavailability".
I think the court system needs to get its house in order before charging even more.
