I don't think it's realistic to adjudicate most asylum cases at all. There is in most cases no way of knowing what went on in the asylum seeker's home country, or along the way, and therefore whether the asylum seeker has a valid claim to asylum or not. When in most cases it is just the word of the asylum seeker, it is expecting the impossible of anyone to sort out genuine cases from non-genuine.

In my view, the Refugee Conventions are misconceived, and the UK should withdraw from them. With the ease of modern travel, we are being inundated, and it is not fair on the young people born here, most of whom, if they do not receive a substantial inheritance or parental gift or loan, will never be able to afford to buy somewhere to live, and may not be able to afford to rent, either. We are soon going to have a massive homelessness crisis.
