I wholly agree with Howard below. IMHO, this is because most judges are barristers, and have never had to trawl through a file to consider what documetns to include, and how to label and present them in a clear manner such that they can be located in a hearing. They have literally no idea of how time consuming it is to prepare a proper bundle, not to mention the endless difficulties that frequently arise with e-filing and its other online cousins.

There are endless laments from the bench about the state of bundles, but no willingness at all to allow the costs commensurate with a compliant and thought through bundle, which are always slashed as "excessive".
As Howard says, if you won't pay the proper rate for a job, don't be surprised if the result is disappointing.
