I wonder where teh SRA looked for the evidence? When I look at utilisation rates (the proportion of work time that is devoted to client activity and potentially saleable) I see considerable overcapacity - by anything up to 10% - 12%. That eqates to an excess of 10,000 solicitors in private practice. I have to ask if the agenda is to reduce prices.
