If the path to qualification is becoming easier:

- "Hale expressed concern over the ‘greatly increased’ number of law schools, the number of law graduates, and the number of people qualifying as barristers, solicitors and legal executives at a time when the number of law jobs available is diminishing....."

then, unless there is an overt policy of ethnic segregation being implemented across the UK, where and how does a lack of ethnic diversity manifest itself?

I know of no White Supremacist or Nazi firms in practice and executing an Apertheid agenda of ethnic cleansing of applicants from the profession.

It is more alarming (indeed racist stereotyping of the worst kind) to assume that ethnic minority graduates all want to work in legal aid firms only; as evidenced by Lady Hales' warning that:

"the ‘precipitous decline’ in legal aid, coupled with the high cost of legal education and low wages was forcing ‘diverse and socially mobile’ lawyers from the profession....."

Could it in fact be that there is NO diversity issue and that we are in the murky territory of misdirection geared towards further Honour's List acclaim?
