So, what used to happen-litigation usually being avoided by negotiation and realistic advice by solicitors, was destroyed by our rulers who believed litigation was too costly (Woolf reforms and subsequent c***-ups).

That led to an explosion of even more expensive litigation-quelle surprise!

And now we're back to the original "negotiate first, litigate as a last resort" situation-but called ADR and with a full panoply of expensive "specialists" as handmaidens!

Brilliant performance by all concerned!
