Whenever I have been on the opposing side to a firm that operates a fixed fee system the service offered to their client has been appalling and muggins here has had to do work to get things moving that the other solicitor should have been doing. Instead it's almost as if there's now a limit on work done because of course it's a more complex case than anticipated. This has happened to me three times lately and Im fed up with it, it's no different to fixed fees on legal aid that was causing the same problem.
