To the gentleman who replied to my account of the client who I told would have been charged £930.00 if I was on time costing, I have a perfectly good relationship with this client and if I had been on a fixed fee agreement I do not believe that she would have been any less demanding. She is on time costing but does any solicitor reading this think that any client would accept a bill of £930.00 for 1 week where nothing happened? I have better things to do than correspond endlessly with the LeO. As it happens her husband came to see me last night to ask if I could represent him as well so I must be doing something right. Also thank you for giving me the opportunity to add that is it not correct that thanks to the Austin Mitchell 'conveyancing is a doddle' campaign, not ever gainsaid by the Law Society as I recall, conveyancing was the first service to be offered at cut rate fixed prices and are we not being told that conveyancing is now by far the largest aspect attracting negligence and PI claims?
