I often quote this case (pre Supreme Court) when executing Wills with husbands and wives. It made me super cautious about execution. I always thought that it was such a prime example of the corrupting power of money- the sons could have varied the intestacy and then sued the solicitor in negligence. The legal costs must be staggering- greed avarice and envy, what a potent mix.
