One of the reasons for this proposal is to take over the storage and supply of land charges data. This will mean the loss of around one thousand jobs in the councils and the closure of around two hundred small business's. The councils will still need to supply the information to LR but will they be as diligent if there is no profit in it for them? There may be little sympathy for the loss of council jobs but what of the two hundred small firms? LR is just building a bigger empire for sale. A bit like the post office did and who profited there?
