The European system is inquisitorial, not adversarial.

The coalition are continuing the new labour march towards inquisitorialism. We already have the worst of both worlds in the care courts, and to some extent the tribunal system.

The inquisitorial system can only obtain justice if the state retains integrity, which rarely happens, ours appears to have none to retain.

In addition the government are determined to remove all human and magna carta rights, as they get in the way of their totalitarian, money making, rubber stamping injustice system.

To the government the law is largely an irrelevant inconvenience, unless it aids them or their chums. And as long as some enforcement of it is possible can reveal their own corruption and illegality and limit their power..
