It wasn't, Sue, it was a dictatorship. And I was the dictator. But all my employees were happy to work there. In fact a tentative suggestion of partnership was rejected. They just wanted to be employees and not have the responsibilities of equity sharing and capital contributions.

In fact I introduced a system of sharing in the income they generated in that each had a percentage of bills paid as well as a basic salary. So the harder they worked the more they earned without any capital contributions or management and risk sharing. They were happy and so was I.

All this 'equality' and 'sharing' only leads to potential for discord. You need one person who has the final say on everything. But he must be a benevolent dictator.
