I have interviewed a few MP's so far, as part of my research looking into the RTA accident claims process as part of my PhD.

I am a solicitor who specialises in personal injury.

The MP's admitted when voting in reforms they don't even receive copies of the proposed Bills/rule changes. They have to search them out of th Commons library. How many MP's have the time to do that? I long formed the view that people responsible for the changes have little idea of what actually goes on and the implications of reform.

I am afraid that this is what happens without proper research - the media has a lot to answer for. The Daily Mail ran an article a few weeks ago about how to go about a claim for pothole damage. Shortly, they will be running similar articles, in the not too distant future for full personal injury claims. I have written to the Daily Mail many times asking them to verify the data they report and they have never had the courtesy to acknowledge my request once.
