And another thing, Cameron Q C appeared in the first televised
CofA case which was an appeal against sentence or tariff for someone convicted of murder. It was a hopeless case as he more or less admitted in the time honoured way "I am instructed to say a load of rubbish..." Why did anyone sanction legal aid, as he will not have done that pro bono, for a QC to say that which even I could have done, assuming the bar's monopoly did not prevent me? Why then not just a junior? This is a gravy train and I have to say I have little sympathy for a QC who accepts such a brief at, no doubt, huge public expense.

Is it any wonder that HMG is trying to cut down on the costs of publicly funded defence representation?
