No, no we won't forget. Here's distinctly what I rememebr:

1. Automatic directions leading to the appalling Order 17r11 trap and strike outs - which was abandoned eventually after much satellite litigation.

2. The idiotic initial CRU reforms leading to many actions settling at £2,500 because deductions bit into all damages, save for the £2,500 exceptions - abandoned / substantially amended

3. 5 sets of CFA regulations - all a complete disaster - abandoned and/or substantially amended (take your pick!)

4. CPR being introduced in loose leaf format because it hadn't been correctly thought through and properly implemented.

5. The seismic jump of the small claims limit from £500 - £1000 - £10,000 meaning many non - pi cases are now not costs bearing

6. The abandonment of legal aid.

7. The other Jackson reforms of non recovery of success fees and insurance premiums - some access to justice that is....

8. The introduction of burdensome stages of Allocation and Listing Questionnaires (in an effort to same money ironically)

9. Massive hikes in court fees.... on the back of the Government telling us litigation is too expensive.....

10. Deregulation of PII and absolutely ridiculous hikes in premiums with Brokers declaring open season on lawyers

11. The wholesale taking away of legal aid in family matters - again apparently to 'help' matters along....

I'm sure we'll be reminded how easy things are, and that it's all plain sailing....
