I don't rate the SRA! It has now set a hare running and, like the Mousetrap, it will run and run and run.

Our problem, well your problem, is that the SRA appears , like so many of these organisations, to be staffed by professional functionaries. What is really needed is a body of just-retired solicitors ( I do not qualify BTW) who are familiar with the demands of practice and what is, and what is not, practicable. They should then lead after taking their own soundings within the profession, not drift in the wind of focus groups, surveys, pilots, and all the rest of it.

A letter to Frank Meher would have told them all they needed to know on this subject.
