I think the situation is really good. The Courts have known about the dislocation LiPs bring to the Court system. Utter ignorance of substantive or procedural rules; the expectation that no matter what breaches of the Rules they may have committed, the case rolls on. At the outcome, for or against it will be appealed bereft of merits. And after that hearing, it will be appealed to the CoA. This body has been complaining for 20 years that LiPs are wrecking the joint. No knowledge, no respect, no grasp of procedural requirements and, thus, cases wholly unprepared.
Schadenfreude. They'll work something out but seeing they are coming down from their Bench to the "ring" where they will lose their independence, balance and judicial ability. A terrific situation for the Court of Appeal of the English Supreme Court of Judicature.
And all to save £2 millions in the budget of legal aid.
