Look, it's perfectly simple. If you have ever had the unfortunate excperience of being against an LiP, or even worse, a Mackezie friend, you will know that your opponent will take a massive amount of time to argue something that is usually wrong, in the wrong way, on the wrong premise, and usually lodge a wrong appeal.

I had 4 years of dealing with a LandLord who believed himself to be a budding Solicitor - we were in front of an exasperated Judge who struck out 10 applications after nearly a day of arguments. The LiP ended up getting his own case struck out and had lodged sonewhere in the region of 40 applications and appeals.

Solicitors would have desalt with the matter quicker, easier and without a burden to the taxpayer.

A few weeks ago at an oral examination I was referred to as 'sunshine' by an unqualified 'accountant' representing his 'client'. We ended up having to sit him at the back of the court and threatening security as he advised his 'client' to answer 'no comment' (!!!) to any of the questions that the debtor had been ordered to answer.

LiPs are largely an utter nightmare, and the idiocy of pushing Mackenzie friends is so utterly preposterous, it's frightening.

If you needed bypass surgery, would you be happy with 'John the plumber who watches Casualty and ER and has a real interest in medical matters'?

Point answered. Seriously, easy to make comments, but unless you've had to battle with what can only be described as good meaning - or often malicious halfwits, you don't really understand what's going on at grass roots.

This needs addressing very, very quickly.
