These SRA people are just unreal. Their only concern is for themselves.
I've really more or less given up commenting on the disfunction of the SRA. You may as well speak to the wall. They just continue to make one crazy decision after another. They've really lost the plot.

They will to do exactly what they want with no by your leave and I believe that nobody in the profession trusts them in the least to do the right or sensible thing - ever. They just seem to enjoy amusing themselves by playing God without any fear of retribution. They seem to fly from one extreme to the other on a whim.

At the end of the day, if you are truly a professional lawyer, you will behave ethically and honestly of your own accord - and be paid well for being a qualified lawyer so there is no need to misbehave. That is what it means to by being a professional.

The SRA/Law Society should to much more to check ENTRY to the profession and not just allow a free for all simply because that brings in more loot (and I choose that word carefully!).
