This is another Legal services Act quango which has as its entire raison d'etre the criticism of the legal profession. I wrote to this shower about six months ago regarding their "examples" of poor legal service and was not even granted the courtesy of an acknowledgement. Presumably they would like the law to equate a complaint with guilt? Truth is that there are many clients out there who fundamentally resent having to pay anything for the services of a lawyer, so used are they to having all government services provided for "free" (not free of course, but that is their mind set). The worst disservice governments have done post 1945 is to shield the great public from any feeling for what it actually costs to provide their "free" services!
