Thanks, Rob, but on reflection AT had complied with the order by 18th June so an "unless" order would not have been appropriate. That would have been otherwise had they not complied by that date. Still a similar principle applies and a "costs of today to be the defendants in any event and payable forthwith" would have done the trick.

Also as I have said elsewhere this very severe penalty, in effect the maximum short of a strike out, leaves no room for a greater penalty for more serious and deliberate default causing delay, adjournments, or loss beyond wasted costs.
