i see no reason to feel ashamed, unless you were one of the rare lawyers who thought family law should be handled just like PI litigation. In my experience, lawyers tried to inject common sense but the clients (often just one of them) whose emotions stopped the cases being sorted out. District Judges are now having to handle these cases without the benefit of lawyers trying to get their clients to calm down and think of the children instead of themselves.
