If these "new entrant" firms are not competent then complain to the SRA as they are committing a professional offense. Even in the days when I always had a few PI claims in my case load I accepted that Clin Neg was a specialism and did not go there. I has remained off my radar and have not run a PI case in years. I no longer have the up to date knowledge to do so.

The MDU simply want to cap the costs to their profession and do not care about the poor bloody patients. I have received 3 or 4 requests every year to recommend a Clin Neg solicitor for people showing the most horrendous injuries. Nearly all of which are preventable by proper staffing and care in the NHS.
