We are looking forward to taking on our first trainee in eight years. Having spent a year training this person I know that they will soon start to make a profit for us if paid £15,000. For the last year they have not had sufficient experience to create profit. The ability to obtain a training contract is the gateway to the rest of your career. Everyone in the High Street had to start at the bottom. This sense of entitlement gets right up my nose.
