I am not sure why banning inducements to people claiming is an attack on the legal profession. But then I have just been ripped off by someone who claimed whiplash when my car hardly touched his and because my insurance company told me it wasn't worth arguing because there was damage to the car (no there wasn't - there was pre-existing damage at another point) they coughed up as the cheapest thing to do. I am of course aware that this is one case and there are a lot of genuine claimants out there being bullied by insurance companies but why is offering inducements a big benefit to genuine claimants.
