As I have said before and continue to say costs budgeting exists in a parallel universe where lawyers at great expense argue over contingencies which will never occur. The idea that lawyers will simply get on with the job of litigating and ask to be paid for their work whilst the Court faffs around trying to list all these nonsense hearings about future nothings is of course also completely outrageous as is the concept that any other professional from teachers, doctors, architects or indeed costs judges should also be paid.
