Let us not forget the shambles caused by Labour that Falconer was involved with when they first attempted to abolish the position of Lord Chancellor and then had to go scurrying to the House of Lords so that business could commence next day because they had apparently forgotten that aspect of the position.

Let us also remember that though Grayling is a dreadful incumbent he is Cameron's placeman who has been upheld in office by just about every memeber of Parliament (Commons & Lords) who supports the present Liberal Democrat and Conservative Government.

My particular concern is probation that is being wrecked with few friends giving support, because the work is so misunderstood - including by many lawyers as I remember the late Baron Williams of Mostyn saying after he became Prisons and Probation Minister which was AFTER he had been chairman of the Bar Council.
