A few thoughts...

1. How much stronger would LJ Mumble's diatribe have been if Withy King had done the decent thing and withdrawn from the case...? Acting Pro bono is in my view bringing the profession into disrepute.

2. Ms Stevens is a Higher Courts Advocate. Why did she not do the advocacy? And if not, why did it then need 2 Counsel to represent her client in court (3 lawyers in total!!). Utterly unnecessary and yet more grist to the mill of those of point out the ludicrous over-manning in litigation.

3. If I was a fee-paying Withy King client I would be asking how it is fair that my hard-earned money is subisdising these misguided and self-defeating attempts to plaster over this govt's dismantling of civilised society.

4. Each time another pro-bono chump does this please ask yourself what Mr Grayling thinks of you - utter contempt would be the correct answer...
