Having considered quite a few of the comments on here I felt it necessary to clarify an aspect of the Judgment. All clients had signed CFA's that were subject to The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. This would provide a 7 day, and not a 14 day, cancellation period in which the Client could cancel without incurring any charges. All settlements between Haven and our Clients' occurred after the 7 day cancellation period. Furthermore, and most important, in each case the client had signed a waiver to the cancelation period and instructed our firm to commence work immediately. At no point did any of our Clients' have a right to cancel without incurring any charges.
