Anon of 7.05am has no evidence that self employed solicitors earn more than salaried solicitors or he/she would cite it
I could equally assert that what pushes up the median is the quantity working in government departments and local authority so the rest of us look as if we are earning more than we are. Perhaps if all those working in the city were removed from the figures the situation might look very different too
