There's a trial on the issue of the obligations of Solicitors to advise on the financial side of the transaction in November 2015. My guess is that it will confirm the view that Solicitors owe no duty of care at all to give "mortgage advice".
Thereafter I hope the SRA investigates how these claims were farmed, processed, supervised and conducted as it is my understanding that the Code of Conduct has been breached by those pursuing this litigation on behalf of claimant home owners.
